Jill Harle - Counselor, MACP, LPC

About

I have been counseling youth and adult populations since 2008. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I specialize in a variety of issues and can mold to the needs of the client. I believe in connection, honesty, and continued progress.

Everybody experiences adversity differently. Not only is it is important to get to the core issues that are interfering with your daily functioning, but also to have someone provide understanding about these issues. My job is to focus on the presenting symptoms and work to get to the root of the problem. I provide individual, family, and relationship counseling in a safe and comfortable atmosphere. By working together, you will be able to better identify strategies to help manage your symptoms and improve everyday life.

There are many different modalities for treating clients. I will work to find the modality that will allow for progress and personal growth. Personally, I believe that if there is not a bond and comfort between a therapist and a client, that client should be referred elsewhere.  I try to have flexible hours and an accommodating schedule. I hope to have my clients feel comfortable in my office and will work to help clients feel open and safe.

Experience

After earning a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology, I obtained a certification in School Counseling. In 2008, I began working in Middle and High School settings working in guidance and behavioral interventions. After working with  these children, I expanded to family work through a non-profit  local community organization. These experiences lead to an increased desire to work with family systems, couple's therapy, and adult co-occuring disorders. I was able to complete my licensure preparation courses, exam, and training in 2011 while working in children's behavioral services and an adult acute housing program. I completed my clinical hours for licensure in 2012. My experience with outpatient services began in 2011. I was provided with training and experience in many different modalities until I opened Jill K Harle Counseling, LLC in 2014. Since opening, my goal has been to provide the community with a variety of well-trained and humanistic counselors. We hope to better serve the community while expending professionally to meet the needs of every client who is brave enough to ask for help. I look forward to growing professionally within my community.
